My Story
“Life Philosophy: Live, Love, Learn, and Leave a good soundtrack.” Nothing could more accurately depict the adventurous and carefree spirit of singer/songwriter Jason Herrin. He brings a mix of southern rock, country and folk to his music. Jason has been performing and writing songs for over 10 years. His influences include Todd Snider, Mike McClure, Drive by Truckers, Ryan Adams to Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Lynrd Skynrd, Guns and Roses and many more.
His first project was the
Six Shooter Band from ’99-’06. They made one record with designer and music producer Alan Thomas. “Wave Goodbye”, the first and only single released on the record went to #38 on the Texas music charts. It later got them nominated for country band of the year and Jason was also nominated for songwriter of the year. They opened for many artists and bands such as David Allen Coe, Cooder Graw, Tommy Alverson, Jack Ingram, Honeybrowne, Deryl Dodd, Stoney LaRue, Billy Joe Shaver, and Big John Mills.
Since ’06 Jason has been playing on his own and with the Jason Herrin Band. Playing multiple gigs a week. Putting in the time and honing his craft. Jason is an accomplished songwriter and can really tell a story through his music.
